Teaching positions are in private Kindergarten and Language Schools, and placement locations are in medium and large cities throughout Korea including Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Incheon, Daegu, Busan and Gwangju.
There are daytime and afternoon schedules. Typically the school day starts at 9 am, finishing by 6 pm or 7 pm Monday to Friday. Afternoon schedule classes run between 1 pm and 10 pm.
Daytime schedules are typically split with kindergarten classes in the morning and elementary school in the afternoon. Evening schedules usually begin with elementary classes in the afternoon and middle or high school classes until 10 pm.
Through 30 hours of face-to-face teaching in school classroom settings each week, you will be aiming to improve your students’ reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
Any support you need for activity planning will be on hand from your teaching colleagues.
While applicants can state a preference for age group, lesson types and placement location it depends upon availability, we will endeavor to meet the preferences of teachers. Friends are also welcome to apply, placement together depends on availability.
What do you need to Organize?
International flights: You’ll need return flights (can be two one-way flights)
Police check: You’ll need a clean national criminal record
Health check: You’ll need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide a negative PCR test (taken within 48 hours of departure) and to budget US $65 for a medical exam in Korea
Spending money for your first month plus excursions etc.
Visa cost: You’ll have support to obtain your E2 visa
