EngAll, 1:1 Customized Online English Classes

1. Responsibilities

A. With Students:

  • Conduct 1:1 online 30-minute English classes (both speaking & writing) with students via Zoom responsibly
  • Schedule:
  • Peak hour availability – Open class slots at peak hours (between 18:00-23:00 KST) for at least 5 hours across 4 days during weekdays
  • Flexible schedule – As long as peak hour availability is provided, you can open as many classes as you want during both weekdays and weekends
  • Regularity – Your schedule must have at least 10 hours of set availability and it would be the same each week
  • Ensure active student engagement through interactive classes while respecting students’ personal boundaries
  • Fill in students’ feedback forms in detail at the end of each class

B. With EngAll Team:

  • Diligently attend onboarding (training) meetings arranged by the company and take time to understand how the EngAll system works
  • Provide constructive feedback on issues that arise during online classes while working with the EngAll support team to resolve said issues
  • Respond to communications and feedback sent by the team actively

2. Required Qualifications

  • Be a native English speaker having a US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand passport, and be enrolled in, or have graduated from an accredited university in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland,  Australia or New Zealand
  • Recognized TESOL/TEFL/CELTA qualifications or equivalent
  • Ability to prepare lesson plans for the class from EngAll materials and ESL websites like Ellii and ESL Pals
  • Have access to a home computer/laptop (Windows or iOS) with stable/reliable internet with minimal power outages
  • Private room to teach without background noise

3. Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Postgraduate Degree from an accredited University in English language, Linguistics, or Education
  • Have experience in teaching online, especially kids aged 4-12 years
  • Have experience in conducting TOEFL, IELTS, or OPIC prep classes with adults
  • Can quickly type while conversing with a student
  • Ability to diagnose and fix technical issues related to Zoom, Google Chrome, Drive, Wi-fi, etc. promptly
  • Experience with Zoom and Notion

4. Benefits

  • 6-month renewable contract
  • Competitive salary (Base Pay) of 11-14 USD/hour for speaking classes, 16-21 USD/hour for writing classes
  • Monthly and long-term incentives (added to Base Pay)
  • Readily available teaching material
  • Have a flexible schedule (as long as minimum of 10 hours/week, and peak hour availability requirements are met)
  • Regular feedback on teaching methods and class quality from Learning Designers and students
  • Consistent monitoring of booking rates and retention by Tutor Management Team
